Photos sent me of the '51 Hornet in TX. Here's what the owner had to say:

- Patch work required on bottom of doors and lower body below trunk lid/above bumper

- Frame ok

- Trim piece missing above rear window

- Interior complete, dash intact

- All other parts are there

It seems obvious to me that other exterior trim pieces are absent or at least not on the exterior of the car. I know this isn't a lot to go on, but I'm very curious what the experienced crowd here thinks of the condition and asking price ($4000)?

Sly it has changed since I had the same problem. Look in the tool bar of the Write Comments section where you type your response. Go over to the right end and click on either "insert image" or you can also use the "insert hyperlink" icons. These are the 3rd and 4th icons over from the right end.

When I try that it asks for a URL. Can I upload directly from my computer? I'll have to tinker with it some more.

I use Photobucket, but there are other photo hosting sights that you can use to store and link your photos from.

I'm 37 and actually quite computer literate, but the "Insert Image" function has defeated me. (I know, "Methinks thou doth protest too much!")

Sly here are a couple of your pics. All I did was copy your link, click on the insert image icon, delete the http:// that appears in the line and paste your link and boom there it is!

I must have tried exactly that at least 30 times. Only thing I can think of is maybe I need to use compatibility mode in my browser.

It's a 53, not 51. Being a coupe helps value, but $4000 seems like the very top end for a car in this condition. Does it have the original motor?

Looked like a 53 grille but a 51 hood to me. Motor is supposed to be original, but not running.
