Val, do you have a photo of what you're looking for for your '39?

Hey Val,
How does it fit? Snug, tight or a little wobble to it?
Does it feel pretty sturdy?
I think it would be easier to use than my factory little 'star wheel' knob that I have now,
Thanks,
Jeff0 -
This is a wild shot, but have you tried contacting Wiperman (who bought out the old stock of the Trico company) ? He could possibly have one or two NOS controls (the whole lever assembly with the plastic knob).
Another thought: you are missing just the plastic knob, right? Have you done a Google "images" search for similar knobs (Ford, Chevy, etc) which are now being reproduced? Possibly there's one that will "pass" for real until the real thing comes along.
Finally, have you written any of the many Hudson vendors who advertise in the WTN. Often you see boxes at Hudson flea markets with stuff like this, lying around in them. If you can provide a photo of the desired knob, maybe one of our flea market vendors can help you.
Of course, the really GREAT thing to do would be to borrow someone's honest to gosh knob, make a mold form it, and then cast a few for yourself and friends, from a plastic of the same color!

It fits tight. It was difficult to install but works ok. It is sturdy

Thanks for the advice, I have not thought of wiper man or google to see if a ford or any other make would work. I dont know of anyone with a good knob and I have no way to make a mold. I wish that some one who has one would do so cause I would gladly purchase it. Original part number was BO 134287 Mine is almost gone so it would be of no help to anyone. The only photo I can find is the the IPC and it isnt very good.

Well, if anybody else needs one they can have the one I bought for postage. I don't need it, I just thought it was a cool display.
PM me if you need it.
