Hudson Hornet - axle issue
I need help with my 1953 Hudson Hornet. While removing my axle, I noticed there weren't any shims behind the plate that holds in the axle bearing. On second glance, I noticed the shims were between the backer plate for the brakes and the end of the axle housing. Is this correct?

Ken,
Thanks. The shims are indeed on the right side. Now I can put this whole thing back together with confidence that is correct.
