Tips on changing the lower, front (turn indicator?) lights?

Hey all, I've removed the front grill pieces on the '54 Jet and I've accessed the turn indicator lights to change the bulbs.  Any tips on how to re-attached the bulb holder to the grill piece? The holder is a circle surrounded by "teeth", but I can't get the teeth back inside the grill piece without breaking the bulb!

Any help is much appreciated.

Mike, have you got the right bulb.  According to the light bulb chart in the 1953 Jet owners manual the bulb is a Mazda 1154.   I imagine 1954 would be the same.

I'm not acquainted with the Jet.  Have you asked Sarah Young?  With her fantastic "Jet" website, I would assume she is a clearinghouse of information for these cars, and she has doubtless changed her lightbulbs once or twice.
