The old posts were indexed by search engines.
Google does find your posts when you enter : classiccar.com hudson transmission

When I put that into the google search, and pull up a small list with only a few posts, I get a pop up that says page can not be opened.0

Use the search box in the forum, not Google.0

Dan, I just copied and pasted classiccar.com hudson transmission into the search box. That didn't work either. It just pulled up a bunch of non related posts from the front page.

Kerry, what posts are you talking about. There are about 20K that came over with us. Are you talking about the 50K or so that were on Motorhood/CC before the move to this Vanilla forum? If it is in the 20K, you should be able to search for them on here. Not saying it is the greatest search engine. If you are talking about the previous 50K from before. I am working on it, but I dont promise anything. : ):-S0

Aaron, I can't seem to get any of them up. There was a lot of good info on tech related stuff, I was looking for Stepdown transmission related posts.0

@Kdancy - Just as a matter of reference, that is also what 'My Bookmarks' are for as well.
As you come across threads that are of interest, 'bookmark' them.
