I originally converted my '46 Hudson a few Yrs ago to Torino dual M/Cyl with just small hand tools and posted the process afterward.I bought a Non Disc Brake M/Cyl.(Not sure of part #  tonite but it was a Torino made just prior to Disc brake availability)
I countersank the 3 Hudson M/Cyl holes in a 1/4" pc of mild steel plate wide enough to accomodate the 2 wide holes for the Torino M/Cyl and used 'button head' (flush) bolts. Naturally, I hole sawed the center hole in the Adaptor for the Pushrod & Boot.
You need to measure the length needed to ensure pushrod full travel then cut the Torino pushrod and install the Hudson Clevis with a nut to lock clevis after adj free play. I ran the larger M/Cyl chamber to the front brakes and the small chamber to the rear brakes then bled the system. I did not need any residual valves and after initial Fill I havent touched the M/Cyl since.

The conversion retains the complete Hudson secondary brake system. Filling under hood required a small funnel & hose so I bought a plastic 'Remote Fill' Resivor at a Swap meet for a few dollars but never had reason to install..Another Member on this Forum took the idea a step further making a nice 3/8" aluminum Adaptor in a Bridgeport
Ive adapted other things to Hudson's such as PS, Electric Wipers, Rack & Pinion, etc, posted the pictures & process but cant locate them now either..

  • Another good source is the early 70s jeep.

I use them on my internationals to convert the single systems.

    Look at the 75 cj5.

Avail in left or right line connections and for manual or power and by looking at other years you can also pick between drum/drum and disc/drum in manual or power.

Residual valves help on the low mount MC with the wheel cylinders above it.

If the pedal feels soft on first push then they can help.
