My dad and I had a great time meeting Russell today along his journey with his work of art!
I know I already said this a couple times, but really nice work Russell!

Got an update on Russ and family.  I got a call this morning around 9:30 - invite to get together.  Well, not exactly.  Seems Russ needed some help - left front tire on the t ruck blew out and he was stuck with no spare and no jack beside I-40 (18 wheeler alley) about 25 miles short of West Memphis.  So we jumped in the Olds and headed west.  Found him and the family no problem.  On the way out I had noticed a tire shop in West Memphis, so we loaded Vicky and the kids in my car, left front tire in the trunk.  Next problem was the only jack I had was the car jack and it wasn't strong enough to raise the truck - enough to get the tire off, but that was it.  At the tire shop we found a tire - the only one they had on the shelf.  About 20 min later we were on the road headed west.  When we got back I found the jack was beginning to bend - it was still under the front axle.  So Miss Vicky called the tire shop since the fellow there had said he could send a service truck if needed.  It was needed.
I had to get back to Memphis - took me an hour to get back due to a couple stops so got back about one.  Called Russell and found they were on their way to Indiana once again.  Should be getting there shortly I'd imagine.  So ends day 2.  All's well that ends well.

Trivia Question: How many Hudson lovers own a "6 year old" Hudson - original condition.  Russell and Vicky do!!!

I just realized I said nothing about Russ's convertible.  It is, even without the top and interior completed, a beauty. I'm gonna find it hard to wait until French Lick to see the completed queen.  It is beyond description.  A BIG tip of Aunt Hesters bonnet to Russell for his restoration and to his lovely wife, Vicki, for putting up with this project
    :D for so long.
I bet Vicki's "honey do" list is up to about 14 pages by now!!!  LOL
