I Need Some Help, Check This Out!

I have a lead on 1939 Hudson Panel and was wondering if anyone knows how to contact Mr. Peabody and Sherman.  I need the WABAC machine to go take a look at this... I'm taking cash with me.

Someone sent me this ad. I don't what magazine it came out of, or what year.

    Looks like an ad in an old Hemmings, probably early 1970's  From the miniscule  "NON-FORD" section, LOL!!  As you may know, Tiny was a Pennsylvania dealer of antique cars.  I doubt he is still alive but even if he was, he probably sold hundreds of cars and wouldn't recall this one.

    the hudson dream truck!! tell ya what, I'll pay twice that amount in cash right now!! O.K.,three times the price!! wonder who bought this way back and if it is still around or maybe even in the club!! anyone out there have a 39 hudson delivery??

    I do, but not that one.  Mine needs to be brought back to running condition.  I thought it would be easier to go back in time and pick that one up.

    That Hudson panel in your first picture looks like it might be a Pacemaker (?) - photo is too grainy to tell.  Hudson did make panels from both 112 and Pacemaker chassis/cab/sheetmetal in '39 (at least according to my sales flyer).

    I have a pipe dream that one day I'll have a brace of 112's including a Pickup , Convertible , Panel Delivery etc.

    You need the dreams to keep the reality at bay!

    I know that at one time, there was a '39 like that in California.  I remember reading about it in an old WTN and thinking how much better it looked that the '39 commercial vehicles with "112" front ends.  There was also a factory photo of a '39 pickup with the non 112 nose.

    Interesting thing about the 1939 Panel trucks (1938 thru 1940) was that the bodies were built by Checker Cab. 1934 thru 1937 were built by York Hoover.

    @ArkieJazz - The photos of the '39 Pacemaker pickup (there are at least a couple different views of it) were apparently taken at the factory - of the only '39 Pacemaker pickup truck made.  There is no record of the truck ever going into production, and the prototype has never been found, probably destroyed.  There are at least two existing '39 Pacemaker Panel trucks (probably 3-4 more around), and it was in production - there are no records to indicate how many of these trucks were produced (or any specific commercial vehicle), only that there were approximately 600 commercial trucks produced by Hudson in 1939.
