Dana/Spicer 44 Rear End

How can you tell if you have a dana spicer44 rear end in a 52 and nor the other one that uses the tapered bearings, Thanks John

The Dana will have a bolt on cover on the rear of the axle.

52 had both types. Depends when the car was produced. Early production (late 51) had the Hudson built rear end. Later had the Dana/Spicer.
