Super Wasp tail light lenses
The other day I was attempting to remove the broken left red plastic tail light lens on my '53 Super Wasp to replace it with a new one I purchased back at the Gettysburg National. It looks like you have to remove the chrome housing to access the lens. I removed two bolts inside the trunk that seemed to attach the metal housing to the rear quarter panel. However, after I took the bolts off, I still couldn't get the housing off.
There doesn't seem to be anything in the 48-54 Hudson Body Service Manual that explains the procedure for getting at a cracked tail light lens. Anything I'm overlooking here? Thanks for any help!

Dan, There are 3 fasteners to secure the tail light housing on the Wasp. After removing these there are 2 screws that hold the plastic lens onto the die cast housing . Once they are removed the lens comes off. This is assuming that the housing and lens are in the same configuration they were when they left the factory.Sometimes over time a previous owner changes things......0

Thanks, Lance, for the heads up on that third fastener securing the tail light housing. I'll have to look a bit more closely to find it. Maybe now I'll remove the spare tire to ease locating that 3rd bolt.
