Playing with paint colors
Surely some of you fellers know of an affordable photo editing program that would let a person experiment with various paint colors. I'd like to find one that would somehow allow me to fill in an area on a photo without having to actually trace a perfect line around a roof or fender panel. For instance..... imagine if you had a photo of a Boston Ivory over Texas Tan Hornet Coupe and you could click on the Texas Tan and change it to say Broadway Blue, or John Deere Green or whatever you wanted to see. Something user friendly for fat fingered old reprobates like me and wouldn't cost more than $29 or $49 bucks

I doubt you would find one that will do a satisfactory job with a photo, with a artist rendering such as a sales brochure perhaps, there is just too much color variation due to the lighting and reflections. I used photoshop for the same purpose. In theory it will select that way but across a car body you will get splotches of selected area or end up selecting way too much. also you may want to use a couple different pictures to actually achieve your color match.0
