Stepdown front sway bar

Found this on the old forum --
One of the problems with the stock Hudson front sway bar is the fact
that the ends where the end links fasten taper down, bars should have
been the same size end to end. I put new front springs and gas shocks
on my 54 Hornet coupe and I felt that it still wallowed too much. I had
Quickor in Portland Oregon bend up an 1 1/8 bar, as inspector Clouseau
said the problem is solved. An aftermarket that fits a 62 thru 64 chev
impala is very close to an exact fit also. Lou Cote

Has anyone here installed the Impala sway bar on their Hudson? I need the bushings for a 51 Pacemaker and it might be just as well to do the upgrade now as Wildricks is out of the mounting bushings and I don't see them anywhere else.

Urethane bushing kits available online and at your local auto parts stores are direct replacements and are stiffer than rubber bushings.   I took the original bolt into the parts store to match length and bought the kit that had the correct length bolt.
