After MDWHIT gets his answer. Can the numbers be posted for the earlier steering box's? Maybe what years interchanged and the ranges in years they ran. This is the kind of tech stuff we need.0

Geez, I must have been asleep when I wrote this post...I am looking for a part number for the seal that goes on the shaft of the steering gear box - not a part number for the box itself. Sorry about that... Michael0

Ken,Thanks so much for the data.And yes, you probably are nuts going out to the garage at midnight and tearing apart a steering box just to get information for someone you don't even know - but for guys like me, you are nuts in a really good sort of way.You are always here on the forum handing out sage information, base on your mechanical expertise, as well as your Hudson experience. I read all of your posts, and have usually learned something from them.
