Color code location

If I remember correctly Kerry I think they should be on the passenger side on either the upper hinge or the hinge pillar post however I'm sure someone with a better memory will correct me if required0

Kerry, Look on the passenger side upper hinge front door. There should be a letter or number stamped on the hinge or nearby. Two letters or numbers likely means a two tone job. Single letter or number means single tone paint job. Many Hudsons did not even have a number code stamped on. The 54 had a bit more info on the vin tag than previous stepdowns.0

Paul, I think you are referring to a stamped number above the VIN number on the upper hinge -
One 53 Sedan has what looks like 137
53 SW coupe looks like 1 4 1
The SW coupe was a brown bottom and cream top.
I think the Sedan was a red top and seal gray bottom

Note from Lance 141 indicates: Black lower,Honey
Cream upper. L."
yes,
After scratching the paint area, the number shows as 137 (seal gray) on the 53 Hornet.
We are going to two tone with seal gray on the bottom and toro red on top.0 -
54 is printed (not stamped) on the serial number tag and includes the interior code also which is not on the earlier models.0
