What group 12V battery are you using in your stepdown

I have a Group 2 (6 volt) in my stepdown but changing over to 12v.  What 12v battery group size fits into the battery tray/battery hold down in the stepdowns?

    I just checked mine and it is an AC Delco Model 34PS.   A "model number" for a battery is a new one on me.  I always thought that they were "Groups" rather than "Models".  It fits the original tray nicely in my '51 Pacemaker.

    Yes, a group 34 is a good choice. A group 24 is also good. Dimensions on either are nearly identical, the group 34 is not as tall as the 24 plus the 34 has more cold craking amps (CCA).. Make sure the post location is OK. Group 24 comes 2 post locations..
