John O'Halloran has a collection of photo's of Earhart and the intro of the Essex-Terraplane (or Terraplane if you wish).  Including several photos of Amelia with the car and the parking lot full of new cars ready for the big drive-a-way.  I copied the photo's but have since forgotten where I filed them.  I need a secretary to organize this stuff for me!!!!!!!!!!

Would like to see those, Alex, if you run across them.

I can't count how many times over the numerous years I visited Bill's emporium literally from the time he started doing it as a business when Kaiser Steel in Fontana closed down & he lost his job.
I never recall seeing a '32 E-T sedan sitting around there, let alone one he claimed was hers.
He had a '33 T8 coach he got from Bruce Brown & sold to a guy in Az.
He had a '33 T8 conv. that had been made up (not by him) from a '33 T6 conv. which he had for a long time until he finally sold it.
Also, look at the head on this car, it should be a flat head & I have no idea what that one is but certainly not any Hudson-product head I've ever seen?!?!?!?!

car above was supposedly hers too. I convinced owner it wasn't as serial # one of the last & she would have gotten one of the first.
Guy I got it from had sold her husband a '40 H8 sd. (he was a H dealer before WW 2), they had become friends, so Bob wanted to have it if had been hers. [long story I won't bore you with, LOL]

I do recall Bill A having a '32 ET but not very long as Jim Sommers purchased it rather soon after Bill acquired it.

Amelia and (theoretically at least) the '32 ET she was gifted.

In the above photo of the 1932 and 1935 cars the 1932 convertible roadster belongs to Dave McWalter - the 1935 Hudson 8, an all original car, belongs to Per Christiansen.
