Worse comes to worse, buy an old 12 volt one at a yard sale and get a 6 to 12 volt inverter.  Or so I've been told!
  • John, I have one. It's NOS. No instructions but dosen't look like it was ever used.

Here is another option gives you more options for what you can play through your stock radio:

Rediscover radio produces a product called a RediRad, which broadcasts an am signal to your 6 volt am radio using an input from an iPad / MP3 / CD player. Sounds like a great idea, however it will not work on my 52 Hudson with the OEM 6 volt positive grd radio. Went as far as to replace the unit, even tried it on another car 48 Chrysler,.....still will not work.

I am not slamming the supplier so much, as he was quite helpfull, in the end he offered to refund my money.

More I would like to know if anyone has been able to get one of these to work on  a 6 volt positve grd system?

I got it to work in my '50.  However a couple of notes: 1) make sure you have it so it is switched off when the key is off.  I wired it direct as my radio is, an it burned out the relay inside the unit.  2) I got some capacitors from Steve Engel (HET radio guru) due to noise.  Steve has worked with Redicover and if you are having issues I would talk to him to get them worked out.

Hi Guys, Hate hijack the thread but I am unable to start a discussion on this forum , I type into the box but then its says need body of discussion and never loads after I type I the box. This is a hard forum for me for some reason to post. Can a mods post this new thread. thanks

    Convertible Cylinders REPO

I am now a direct buyer of convertible cylinders for our stepdown Hudsons. I have corrected the issue with the door cylinders that were not able to come down all the way due to wrong length.

The top cylinders, door and 1/4 window cylinders are $130 each plus shipping. These are cheaper than Hydro-Electric by $9 each and will fit correctly w/o modifications to the doors.

    Thanks

Russ it is probably a browser corruption problem.  Use a different browser and see what happens.

    Russ:

Try reading this, about your "body is missing" problem:  http://openforum.hetclub.org/discussion/165430/wysiwyg-issue-body-is-required-#Item_1

Also, in the future if you have problems or questions about how this forum works, try looking in the FORUM -- Instruction and tips category at the right.  There are often good tips there on how to run this thing.
