This year at French Lick, we made 16 quilts. Since there isn't any child advocacy center in that area, the quilts are going to be donated in Rochester, NY to children with cancer. Thank you to everyone who brought fabric and for everyone who helped tie the blankets.

Next year, we will meet again in Colorado Springs. Please join us for a few hours for a wonderful cause. This is open to anyone who is a crafter or anyone who just wants to see what others are doing. Please bring any craft you would like to share (quilting, cross stitch, painting, knitting, and more) or pictures if you can't bring the projects. The fabric we use for the blankets is fleece. You will need 2 pieces about 1 1/2 yard long that coordinate.

If you have a Joann Fabrics near you, check the remnant bin. They will make a remnant up to 1 1/2 yards and they are VERY inexpensive if you purchase a remnant as the cost if 50% off the sale price of the fabric. Thank you again for everyone who has been part of this project. We have given away about 300 quilts. It is a good week to purchase fleece for next year as the heavy fleece is $2.99 yd (regular $8.99)!

This is a for a great cause. I have a 5 year old grand daughter recently diagnosed with
leukemia, she has had masses of kemo and thank God is in remission at the present. She is awaiting a bone marrow transplant, She will be transferred to Sick Children's Hospital in Toronto Canada. when arrangements are made {in a few weeks} as a match has been found. These hospitals are very special places and deserve a lot of support like you are giving the one in Rochester Ny. Keep up the good WORK>
Great picture an nice looking Quilts.
