Where's my VIN

The body/chassis serial number (technically not a VIN) is located on the passenger side door pillar, on a small plate. If that's missing, get under the car with a flashlight, mirror and wire brush. The number is stamped on the rear axle housing, toward the top, on the passenger side of the differential. You'll have to brush away a lot of rust to see it, and the mirror will help you look up on top.
The third place is on the frame on the passenger side, up in the area around where the front axle passes under the frame. I don't recall if it's stamped in the top of the frame or the outside.
The engine number is different from the body number in some years, in later years it is the same. Of course your engine may have been replaced at some point with another!

Actually identical serial/motor numbers started in mid-1938:
Models 80, 81, 82, 83, 88 - 11630, except 12000 to 12319;
Models 84, 85, 87 - 14126
Model 89 - 28566
