Z-53 Transmission

I just came across a Hudson Hydra-Matic transmission with the Model number Z-53. I see from some of the Factory literature, that it is indeed, a Hudson tranny, and has the Hudson name on the ID tag, but what is the difference between it and ..H-53? Inquiring minds need to know!

    Just found my answer in the 48-54 parts book. It's a Jet tranny.

    Anyone know the difference other than the bell housing? The Hudson HydraMatic manuals don't say.
