Anybody around here selling the kits for the Commodore eight?  Anticipating needing all the gaskets, needles, valves, springs and everything else that goes flying across the garage when it is dismantled.  Hopefully a diagram for dummies is included...keith

Presumably you feel confident enough to tackle this job, but be aware that there are places like Daytona Parts (in Fla.) who will do the entire job and return the carb to you looking brand new (they even plate the parts). They know exactly what to do and I was delighted to get a "new" carb for my '37, one which would no longer stall me at a stoplight on a hot day, or fail to get me going in the winter!

Thanks, Ken.  Shoulda just looked on your resource list.
Thanks for the tip Jon.  But I should be able to handle the carb rebuild.  Unless there is something about the WDO that makes it more difficult than the brand x's I can plow my way through.
When I am capable of performing rebuild/restore work I like to.  There will be plenty of work that I will have to farm out, but doing my own  stuff when I can,  makes me feel more like a partner with my car.  It also helps me to "fix" some of the things that go wrong when out on the road.
