The picture I found was a U.S. car , my car is from South Africa where they mine chrome so it could have had painted ones , chrome ones or even gold ones perhaps that's why they were missing.0

I want a pair for my 37 Terraplane. I think they look great.Gene Birdsall.0

I am making them at the moment in casting resin until I get a little gas furnace I have set up, my plan is to cast them in brass but this will be in a few months, I will then use the lost wax method to make them, at the moment in casting resin I can supply them at £50 a pair primed ready to be sprayed, this includes lenses and LED' s fitted to each.
In brass I cannot see them costing less than £150 a pair so choice is yours really.1 -
Let me know when you have them cast in brass. I would like a pair. Thanks for doing this.Kind regards. Gene Birdsall.0

Hopefully in a few months I will have the brass ones done , will make a few sets so I can carry stock for the members on the forum.0

so here is one of my sidelights painted and ready to mount on my Hudson, after as said finding some pics of the lights painted body colour on a US site I decided to do the same, the lights did look a bit odd chrome next to the headlights which are body colour.0

Here are some more pics of my car. note the incorrect sidelights soon to now be changed.0

Fantastic workmanship on the lights. Almost wish I had a 37 to put a pair on. Thanks for pictures of your car. Those lights will look good on it. I see what you mean about matching then to painted headlights.

These lights can fit a lot more than the 1937 model, in fact they seem to have been used on quite a few model years.1

Similar sidelights on my 1939 112 Alan ; must have been the fashion back then!
It really is a lovely looking car & the sidelights will sit very nicely on those wings

Hi Paul
It actually arrived without any side lights and the ones in the pics were some Lucas ones I had so fitted them but they are not original to the car hence me making others, yours are in process .

Jon, re your earlier Q on parking lights on the exports, I expect it would have included Terraplanes, as the practice was likely based on the widespread requirement for fender-mounted parking lights outside the US. Check the Butler Hudson history book and you'll see the fender lights on the Brit Terraplanes as well as the Hudsons shown (in that era).0
