Great, now git it to a car show so you can get ooo's and ahh's from people who have never seen one.
(Maybe the substitution of a more modern rear axle would gain you a bit more speed...though of course one wouldn't want to toss the original one out.)

Jon,He just needs to leave a little early to get there on time. My rule of thumb is... If you drive slower than the moving traffic more people will get to see it.Looks great as is.0

Looking good.0

I have noticed that if you drive a bit under the speed limit then no one gets in your way.

On the interstates if you drive the speed limit, or a little under, you ARE going to have an 18-wheeler in your trunk. Outside of New England the old U S highways are great for traveling. For example U S 20 across New York state or U S 6 across northern PA. Or U S 11 anywhere between New Orleans and the Canadian border in New York. West of the Mississippi there are tons of old alignments that are just begging for an old car to drive on them. Old 66 - while a lot is buried under the interstate there's still a lot that's negotiable. Sure it takes you longer to get to where you're going, but the slow pace lets you enjoy the scenery. Yes, the downside is the towns with their heavy traffic and stop lights but in a lot of towns the road by-passes downtown so not a problem. When I went to the National in Oklahoma City I drove (in my Brand X merry Oldsmobile) U S 70 between West Memphis and Little Rock, then jumped on the interstate to by-pass Little Rock. From there I took U S 64 into Oklahoma where I picked up 62 into Okie City. Took me just a tad over 8 hours. Came back on the interestate - until I got into Arkansas where I dropped over onto U S 70 to West Memphis. Guess what - it took me about 8 hours coming back. Did almost get caught in a 55 - instant switch to 35 mph speed trap but wasn't going 55 to start with so was able to bring it down to 35 in a hurry.

Congratulations on getting it back on the road. Looking good. Enjoy the next 100,000 miles. At 45 mph it will only take 2222.2222 hours driving time.
