Electric ps assist
http://s294.photobucket.com/user/studebaker2/library/Hudson electric PS project?sort=3&page=1
After talking to Mark at Classic Street and seeing how they did their
installation, I installed the spacer bracket I had the machinist make up
and installed in the columnin of a test vehicle (53 Wasp Coupe parts car). I set an engine
with OD transmission in so I would have the almost full weight for static test. I applied power and figure around 25% of the effort needed
to turn the steering wheel, with Wasp just setting. Big difference! I need to modify my electric gearbox to body bracket as I
can see a slight turning of the gearbox assembly in the housing tube. I don’t think I’d trust just the tubing clamps to hold the
movement forever.So far so good!

I made a new bracket that fits over the electric motor and goes over to the kick panel and that did the trick.
I had Sabrina turn the steering wheel with power off and on. Dramatic difference in steering effort!
I'll now pull the assembly back out and store it until ready for install in the 52 Wasp.
