    I remember viewing this car when it was a charred, rusty, burned out shell of a car, after Fred Nielsen acquired it in the mid-1970's from the widow of George Green.  Mr. Green had been awarded this car by Hudson, after he drove his curved dash Oldsmobile to Detroit in 1946 for the Golden Jubilee of the Automobile celebration.  (I think the award was given to the person who drove the oldest car the longest distance.)  Mr. Green kept the car the rest of his life but near the end of his life (late 60's, early 70's) the car caught fire in its garage and burned to a crisp.

    Jon, I wonder if the fire occured due to the wonderful stranded steel ,heavily corroded, cheesy fabric covered ,wiring harness?  lol. Part of the Hudson fun restoration experience.
