Hello all, new guy here in Orlando. Lucky to stumble into this group, see there is much to get familiar with. I have a '37 Terraplane model 71 I will be working on soon and am glad to have found a great source in addition to the HET Club and WTN. - thanks in advance! Martin

Welcome on board, Martin! Feel free to post messages under any of the categories shown at the left.
Many of us (me included) own '37's, so feel free to ask as many questions as you like. You seem to be acquainted with the HET, so I won't do a big song-and-dance to tell you about that!

Hi Kerry, pic below is my '37. Yes, I'm a member of the OBC, though never had opportunity to participate in events...yet. I bought it from Ralph Abell in Lake Mary a number of years ago. At the time he told me how it was the first car his father had sold from his Hudson dealership in Maryland, that he kept track of and obtained it from the estate of that original owner.
I'm just about ready to do some work on it, after I finish my current project on my '65 Tbird!0 -
Martin, that's a nice looking 37! I'd take it over the T-bird ----

That dealership -- in Marbury, Md. -- still stands, though it's no longer selling Hudsons! It had formerly sold Grahams before Mr. Abell took on the Hudson franchise. I was privileged to accompany Ralph on a guided tour through the old building perhaps ten years ago, during our chapter's annual "Marbury Motors Meet" held just outside Marbury. I hadn't realized that Ralph still had one of the original cars sold there. Ralph was a kind and decent man, and I'm proud to have known him.

Jon, bet that was a fun tour. I was lucky to meet Ralph and his wife Francis when I accompanied a friend who was looking at a '31(?) Hudson Ralph was selling. I, of course, fell for the '37...0

Maybe we will see you at the Christmas party in Winter Garden? By the way, Ralph's 57 Hudson is for Sale. $9K No Air or P.S. But a real beauty with 38K miles.0
