1949 Hudson 4door Super Six

New to the forum since I bought my '49. Planning all sorts of warm weather work for it.
Aside from looking for a rear seat back with an armrest, I really would like to add the metal woodgrain trim that the Commodore had running from the dash back to the rear, under the window trim.
How difficult is it to find those pieces? Are Commodore doors the same size as Super Sixes?
Thanks

Sounds like one of those items salvaged from parts cars, that Hudson vendors have lying around in their piles of "stuff". If you don't get a response here, send out some e-mails to the advertisers in the WTN. Better yet, work up an entire list of your wants (showing photos of sketches to help identify particular parts) and send that out, so you can kill several birds with one stone.
The Commodore and Super Six doors should be identical as far as I know.

Only issue you may have is the front wing windows. Supers have friction latch and short shaft.
The Commodore has longer shaft to reach through the metal trim.

I think what Ric may mean is that window valence trim for the Commodores have a hole and a recess for the vent window crank . Supers have friction locks so they don't have any hole cut out in the valence panel because there is not need for a winding mechanism or crank.0

I used the Commodore trim inside my 49 "Superdore" Four Door. I filled in the hole and regrained all the interior parts which needed it anyway.. The only pieces I didn't have were the short pieces behind the rear doors.
All those metal pieces are the same through 53 for all four doors.. just the graining is different, so you may find them on a Hornet as well as a Commodore.
