Flamethrower 40011 Ignition coil
Hello All, I have proceeded in updating to the electronic ignition from pertronix on my 39 six. Now I want to get the flamethrower coil recommend. However I am not sure it will work. The car is 6v pos ground. My coil (factory type) has the wire coming from the top and goes to the key (ignition switch) and the enter lead from the distributor cap goes in at the bottom of the coil. So I am wondering if the flamethrower coil will work with my car. From the pictures I see I dont belive it will. Can anyone help with this? Has anyone used that coil on a 39?

You might have to modify the wiring slightly, but it will work., The new coil will have + and - on the two connections. the + one should connect to the distributor and the- will go to the ignition switch. I have one on my 49 8 cyl.with original 6 volt Pos. Gnd. Works great!0
