I started going thru a box of tranny parts that came from the closed Hudson Packard dealer and see two gears with
a box number of 160584. I was able to find that number in the 40-42 parts book but not the later 46-47 book.
It is listed under the part name of Main Shaft 2nd and High shift sleeve.
Does anyone know the year range that these fit?
Thanks!
Also found an NOS shift fork with 164474 cast in it. I can not find that number but it looks just like the fork that is
in the 51 tranny I was working on.

Kerry,  From the 1950 interchange book,  The shift sleeve is for 1940 only.

The shift fork is for 1942-1950  probably also 51 and early 52.

The a arms look like 40-47.

I would guess the horn buttons are for low line 38-39.

Anyone else, feel free to jump in or correct as needed

    Thanks Ric--
Seems like I remember someone saying the 1940 transmission was a weird one year build.

1940 were the last of the Hudson-built  Euphemistically named "Synchro-shift" transmission.   This was used in various versions form 1932 to 1940.   the 1938-'4- transmissions were all the same apart from the top assembly of the column shift versions.   The 1940 overdrive was a one-off.
