A gentleman phoned me today, who would like to find a nice Jet Liner.Super Jet.  He noticed this car for sale, at "Country Classics": http://www.oldridetrader.com/listing-detail/?theid=114890 .  Does anyone know this car in terms of its condition or history?  Is Country Classics a reputable dealer?  What would be areasonable price for this car as shown?

I'm in Virginia -- does anyone know of a Super Jet for sale that's a bit closer to Virginia than Illinois?

Jon, That is a '53 Super Jet, with a ratty interior.

Hudson only made Jet Liners in 1954.

My "bad" -- he actually wants a Super Jet!  Don't know why I thought he wanted a Jet Liner.
  • A little late to the party but I have had a friend go look at this exact car.

It needs a lot of love... there's rust and lots of bondo along with a lousy paint job slathered on this old girl. Country classic cars has a bad rep on many of the internet forums for just that reason: overpriced cars with misrepresented condition issues.

That car would need a lot of work, and the asking price is nuts!

  • Have heard the same thing about them.  Was told they also have recently changed the name of their company.  As always, buyer be aware --- very aware.

Speaking of which I am also looking for a Hudson.  Would like to find a Jet 2 door with automatic.   Super Jet or Jetliner would certainly be a plus.  Want a no rust, good driver in decent shape.   If you know of one please let me know.   Probably best to email me at hotrodsbyray@yahoo.com since not on the forum very often.   Shucks, might even look at one of those big old Hudsons if could find a 2 door at a decent price.
