Badge engineering Lee. Hubcaps and I believe the ornament in the front grill. 1955 only. Paint schemes were slightly different from the Nash metros.0

Thanks Lance I thought it was the hub caps and grill ornament but I didn't know if there was any other differences. I didn't know about the paint schemes difference.
It appeared that Metropolitan was slowing down rapidly going up the 20% grade. Another 50 feet it may have come to a stand still. Pulling 3 trailers was cool but it looked like a down hill grade.
Never the less I think the Metro is a neat looking car and probably as much fun as driving a Crosley we once had in the family.
Anyone know what the gas mileage is on a Metropolitan. I know our Crosley got 50 MPG. I would love to have another car that gets that kind of mileage.

Lee, those 4 cyl Austin engines did pretty good mileage wise as well. Big problem with Crosley was the engines they made which were not cast iron. Big problems for them. Helped kill their rep.0

Hi Lee, I was not able to see video, but I have a '54 metro, I need the badge and hub caps. It's one of my Manana projects.0

Vic,
There's a guy on my route that collects metros, Dale Chaney.
Next time I see him, will ask if he has those parts.

Full article on Metros in one of the recent Hemmings Classic Car Mags. Bill Clark, Endicott, NY, whom I know from playing in the Maine Community Band with him.0

Your full of surprises Vic, I did not know you had one. I'll have to come by to see it some time.
Uncle Josh, thanks for the information.. I tried searching for the article but no luck.
I have a very good friend in Elizabethton, Tn. that had on and he loved it.

Thanks Nevada, see you at the National?0

A friend had a Nash Metro, we had a lot of fun in this car. It actually went really well as the engine was quite torquey and the car quite light. I recall quite a few enjoyable trips humming along. The bonnet flew open once but luckily no damage done.

There is a longtime MET hobbiest and parts vender in Hollywood Ca. I visited them years ago when we had three of those little cars. Literally tens of thousands of NOS and used parts. Many cars too.0
