New member trying to get himself a 1934 convertible
Hi,
I am new to the forum. I live in Mexico and collect and restore cars for myself. I own a few and I am currently considering getting a 1934-35 convertible that I heard is going to be for sale. I have qute a few Hudsons in my wish list, particularly a two door stepdown, Coupe or Brougham, a pick up, either Terraplane from the 30's or a Hudson from the 40's (a 1941 short wheelbase would be the first choice) and a few others, but there are only a handful of them down here.
Any how, I am looking forward to getting to know more about the cars and to get help and advice on my possible purchase.
Thanks,
Victor

Hola! and welcome, Victor. You are now a full member of the "Open Forum" and you can post questions in any of the categories here.
Perhaps you would like to tell us more about yourself and your cars.
If you know of a 1934 or 35 Hudson or Terraplane convertible and it seems to be reasonably priced, I would grab it! These are very desirable years for Hudsons, especially convertibles. I have heard of a number of restorable 1930's Hudson convertibles for sale in South America but I do not know about the availability in Mexico or Central America.
If you are not yet a member of the Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club you may wish to join, because it is an excellent resource for technical information, parts and the "Hudson network" of owners around the world. As you may know, the Club maintains a website (on which this forum is one of two Hudson forums). All Club members have full access to this website, but non-Club members can get partial access to the website, by applying for a free "Limited Membership." On the website you can, for example, download complete shop or parts manuals for many years of Hudson, as well as shop bulletins and original sales brochures.

Hola Jon:
Thanks for the warm welcome. As for my cars, they range from a 1922 model T, the oldest, to a 1974 BMW 3.0CS coupe, the newest. I generally don't like to buy restored cars, as I love the restoration process and do them the way I want, which always is as accurately as possible, but I do have many projects on my to do list.
As to becoming a member of the club, I will sure do in case I am able to get the car!
Thanks,
victor
