Arm rest pulls and door seals.

The uppolster lost the 4 arm rests and door pulls for our 54 Hornet Hollywood. Does anybody have these arm rests.I was wondering if the door seal material is softer after Willrich took over the Hudson rubber. I have to slam the doors on our car.

.Ray, I doubt that your hard shutting doors are a result of too hard of seals. I spent a long time moving the strikers around until I got them right on my coupe. I can now just let go of the doors with a hint of motion towards the car and they shut tight. Since you have a Hollywood it may be a window adjustment also. Does having the windows down make shutting the doors easier? You can also apply a silicone spray to the seals and that may help. I also used a thin spray lube on the door latch star also. I am also curious if the door panel arm rests on a 54 are mounted to the outside of the upholstery like most I've seen and have or should they be integral to the panel like a 53. I've seen at least one 54 with the integral style.

Hi Lance That would be great for you to look to see if you have the front arm rest door pulls and also for the rear quarter arm rests.

Hi Chris  The front doors have a thin piece of tin bent at a 90 degree angle bolted to door a slit has to be put in the cardboard panel at the right place. Put door panel on sliding the panel over the angle tin Put screws down to hold  then the same slot is in to hold door pull in place.  Ray
