OD relay wiring when changing to Alternator
I'm putting a new 6 volt positive gd 60amp one wire alternator on a 51 Pacemaker. How is the OD relay wired now that the external voltage regulator is no longer used?

Number three to switched power , number 1 to battery power.
The armature terminal doesn't get power until the generator starts charging.
Wait for verification , working with old theory here

I hereby verify. Just move the wire that was on the A terminal to the accessory terminal on the ignition switch, or somewhere else convenient that's controlled by the ignition's accessory terminal.0

Thanks for the correction, Ken. I should've said to connect it to the ignition switch terminal that's not going to the coil!0
