How to properly use an engine hoist
I was looking at the repair manual and there is a picture of the engine hoist attached to the engine and there are two chains that are behind the hoist. I've taken engines out of cars using a chain leveler, but not with the engine hoist designed for a Hudson engine. What are the chains attached to in the picture? (Figure 21 in the 48/49 Hudson manual).

Jason, I think those "extra" chains are merely the loop of chain hanging down from an overhead chain hoist. They're not attached to the engine.0

Thanks Park, I can always depend on you.0

I used the hoist Friday to remove the engine. This is how I attached it to the cherry picker.0
