Any help?
Sorry, I am new to the forum. I hope this is in the right place.
i'm looking for some info on this manifold. It is stamped 307606 & "7X"
and has a tag that says it fits 1953.
Can you give me an idea of what models, other years, and what it might be worth?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Karen

According to the 48-54 parts book, the part # for the 7X exhaust manifold is 307605. The casting # onHudson castings is usually one digit off from part #. The manifold shown appears to be a 7Xpiece.7X was Hudson code for higher performance engine " package". Notice there doesn't appear to be anymanifold heat riser mechanism and there are two different openings in the part of the manifold where the elbow and then twin exhaust would attach. As to worth, probably more than standard exhaust, though many of us have used custom headers,as 7X manifolds are rarely seen."Ric"0

OOPS, This manifold will fit on any "big" 6 from 48-56.0

First Picture:
Picture of original 7X Exhaust adaptor on right fits only 7X exhaust manifold will not fit regular Hudson ex manifold. The adaptor on the left is a copy of the 7X but fits only stock exhaust manifold. It is open in the center to clear heat damper. The mounting bolt spacing is different between each. They are not interchangeable.
Second Picture:
This is the 7X intake manifold, 7X exhaust manifold and 7X exhaust manifold adaptor to 7X exhaust pipe0 -

You have an original 7X exhaust manifold. It will bolt to any 232, 262 or 308 engine. Unfortunately you also need the 7X intake and exhaust adaptor to go with 7X exhaust to be of any use. Well you could build your own exhaust adaptor. The 7X mounting holes locations between intake and exhaust manifolds are not the same as the mounting holes between Twin H intake and exhaust manifold. Also. the stock exhaust adaptor will not bolt to the 7X exhaust manifold.
Nothing is interchangeable between the 7X intake/exhaust system and the Twin-H intake/exhaust system.

Thank you Both, I appreciate the info. Still not sure what it might be worth, but probably not much without the other parts.Thanks0

Congratulations. What are your plans for it? I was curious like Karen what was it worth?
