Carlisle Car Show

I'm going to be at the Carlisle car show on Friday. Does anyone know if there will be Hudson people there? I am looking for a couple of speedometer gears; both 19 and 20 tooth gears.

You're speaking of "Spring Carlisle", right?

I don't want to discourage you from going, but I would think that a much more productive way to search would be to e-mail your needs to the many Hudson parts vendors who advertise in the WTN.  Include the original part number, a sketch or photo, and any other descriptive info.

At an all-make flea market like Carlisle you will find very little Hudson stuff to begin with, let alone some obscure gears, and you will spend a lot of time rooting around.  If you want to root around through boxes of parts, try to attend a Hudson regional or national meet with a Hudson flea market.  Or, go to Fall Hershey flea market, and look in the printed program to find all the Hudson vendors.  Additionally you could stop by the H-E-T booth and ask around, you never know when you might hit someone with a jar full of these gears in his basement!

With any luck, someone who reads this Forum discussion will jump in here and tell you they have the gear you want!

I went to last year's Fall Carlisle.  Didn't find much in the way of Hudson parts except for a pair of Trico wiper blades (new rubber) which I purchased, a porcelain enamel faded old Hudson dealer sign (priced at a modest $3500.00) and some other minor Hudson items that I thought were overpriced versus what you'd pay for the same thing at a national or regional Hudson meet.

The previous year, 2013, I went to Hershey and found much more in the way of Hudson parts for sale than Carlisle.  Anyway, best of luck in finding those speedometer gears!

Hershey is geared to the older cars and trucks Carlisle is more towards the modern and muscle cars.
Late 50s 60s and early 70s  for Carlisle you can find some items most vendors don't,
know much about Hudson parts at Carlisle

Thanks for the info guys. I have never gone to Carlisle before though I have been to many Hershey events. Jon, thanks for the suggestion to email the vendors listed in the WTN.
