Ruth Leaders is looking for her fathers 46 Business coupe, He probably sold it to someone in the HET club as he was a member of the
Florida Orange Blossom Chapter at that time.
Does the ID # look right?
I could not get the search page to work. This is probably still with a club member.

    Kerry,

Grab your 2015 club roster, turn to page 101, Lawrence and Lillian Crowe, Polk City, Florida.  The ID matches.  Is this the car?

Kerry  -  That vin number is for a 1949 Super Six.  Your first post above states 1946 biz coupe.  Hope you found the car she is looking for.

1946 business coupe is what we're looking for.
The club roster -- I'm confused as the listing is a 46 SSix and a 51 coupe and that serial #.
That was the reason I questioned the number--

Roy Marks knows the car and gave me an explantaion about the ID # ---

    The
car (was converted) had a narrow block big six which would have had the proper numbers as those
cars went by engine number back then; if you changed engines, you changed the
number on the title at the courthouse. The state is getting lax on that
now and accepting body numbers if that's what's on the title. I'll
bet the engine in New Mexico (engine was sold and delivered to a guy in NM) has that number.

Isn't this exciting though, finding the coupe and its history? I
remember it well and have seen Ted's car a few times, but never knew it had
    been Henry's

    car.
