CWC not CWG ?

I see references to CWG on the side of the 46 - 47(?) Hudson 6 cyl blocks -- I believe this is a misreading or mis-casting of CWC (maker's initials) -- am I correct there there is no real CWG?

Those letters-CWC stand for Cambell Wyant Cannon who's foundry produced engine blocks for Hudson as well as International . Still producing castings for US and foreign manufacturers.

I didn't know that.  I thought Hudson cast their own blocks.  They did have a foundry at the plant, no?

Russell, Perhaps they did but it wasn't for engine blocks. They machined them but did not cast them.

Generally Hudson castings had a Triangle on them, Continental and a  symbolised "CL"  one on top of the other, and of course there was CWC who did a lot of castings for Hudson, right back even in the early days.

Still doing research on this topic.  Have been away from computers for several weeks, but wanted to put in my 2 cents worth.
Hudson used as I have been able to learn, 3 foundries for the engine blocks during the step-down years.
!.  Most  came from Campbell, Wyant & Cannon of Muskegon Mich.
    2.  The number 2 supplier during this period was Lakey Foundry and Machine Co.   also of Muskegon, MI
Their logo was an L with a C super imposed on the L.

    3.  I have found several examples cast by the Western Michigan Steel Foundry of Muskegon ,MI.
The logo for this supplier was  their initials, WF.

Partial results of my study are posted in Alex Burrs literature collection in the online club library.
Results from the 1930's are incomplete and have some errors and ?s !!   Further input from
    fellow members would be appreciated,

I was always under the misconception that Continental Motors had the superimposed CL logo, so I stand corrected.   Which foundry had the Triangle logo?  Is this Hudson themselves?   It appears to be a triangle with a cross inside.
