25essex cork clutch

have a 25 essex had it in the shed for 30 years could any one advise me on the correct length of the corks and how to aquire that length as i dont have a lathe i am a bit doutfull about the throw out bearing the bearings are loose in a cage i live on the sunshine coast thanks ray
