Parking Brake Warning Light?

Did Hudson ever have a parking brake warning light whose switch worked with the traditional handle and shaft used for so many years before and after the War?  I'd like to install one on my '37, because on several occasions I've driven several miles with the handbrake engaged!  Seems like there ought to be a simple way to rig one (maybe with a buzzer, so you don't have to stick a light bulb in the dash!).

Has anyone every tried to devise such a warning light switch?

Hi can you drive with the handbrake on? My 1936 terra stalls if I try and drive with it on- is mine too firm or yours requires adjustment? - I need to park it on a steep driveway and prefer the car to stick to its spot- Are pre war hudsons generally lacking modern day handbrake standards? Just curious

No, no smell (and someone else lent his olfactory nerves to sniffing out the answer as well).  So maybe the cables are stretched but they do seem to hold the car from rolling.  Thanks for the ideas, I'll go out and take a look at the handbrake bracket and see how that Microswitch might be attached.

Aah, something else electrical to do !!!

Note: you might want to consider the monitor light that I installed on my Hazard warning system. It automatically blinks when powered. Size is around 3/16.  Believe I got at O'reillys.
