Hello to everyone on this site. I was born in the late 50's, and grew up around quite a few of the oldies that mechanic's in the neighborhood had and worked on. Most were road vehicles but some were circle track cars and some were street rods, even back then. I turned wrenches for numerous years myself until health problems forced me to stop. I have been doing vehicle appraisals since 1991 in South Western Ontario where I grew up. I have a interest in finding out information on all of the old antiques, but lately am fascinated with the makes that are mostly unknown or very rare. Hudson, Essex and Terraplane are just a few. In my years doing appraisals, I have only inspected 1 Hudson and 1 Essex and both were done up as street rods. I have never had the privilege of inspecting one that was restored back to original standards. Hopefully, some day I will be able to. Thanks to all members for helping to keep automobile history alive and in the forefront. It sure is a great feeling when your driving a oldie and you get a "thumbs up" from someone who appreciates the vehicles from times gone by while driving a "cookie cutter car".
Safe motoring and wrenching to all.
