Another Barn find in NewZealand

This car was just dragged out from under a tree last week .  It had been sitting outside for the last 40 years in the south of the south Island NewZealand.

The owner took out the clock.  It needed a wind but still goes and is keeping good time.

This one may not be restorable what do members think.

I'm the most rose colored glasses guy I know and I'm not thinking that would be restorable. Well. I'm sure it's restorable but not worth what it would take.

Surely you don't mean that where is your sense of adventure.  With a tidy up she could be good to go

ON craigs list it would say " I don't have the time to finish this , so I'm offering it for someone

to put this historic car back on the road."

I'm of the opinion that they're worthless without the clock, however, I have hope for what's under the hood (the classic gearhead viewpoint).

Frank, my guess is an Allison V-12 (not original to the car)

    Trevor,
But seriously folks, you'd be amazed at how much stuff is still good in a rusted out hulk like that. Got any engine bay shots?

..Stainless is still there! As well as Some hardware. Just a tad worse than the 49 tudor I am resurrecting. This is a picture of the cowl portion of a 51 That I used to patch my two door.  "If it casts a shadow.. it has value"

    Hi there.

So the consensus is its not worth restoring I probably agree.  It was just worth getting for some of the small hard to get parts there is no motor or box in the meantime  it looks like it will be yard art

I agree.. I have a friend that has a 1924 Ford roadster body in his front yard with flowers in it. Just couldn't send it to the salvage yard.

We see with our own filters, so a rusty hulk maybe the "prize" needed by another. Thanks for posting

I'll see your '24 Ford and raise you a '37 Terraplane Coupe planter box. We know some people with one in their front yard.

Trevor, if it had been found in a "barn" it would be a much nicer speciman than it is now!!

Hi Alistair.  True, maybe it was beside a barn
