My Hornet is jacked up
Nearing the end of resto, I cannot figure out how to store the jack parts in the trunk of my 53 Hornet. It was not installed in the car when I bought it. If anyone can send close-up picks of the proper storage Id appreciate it. I know that the bracket that holds the jack shaft goes on the rearward outer bolt securing the spare tire bracket, but that's all I'm sure of. I have no idea how to store the jack base, and I have no hardware to secure the wheel to the bracket. Help, please!

Thanks, Lance. Pics, anyone? Lance, do you have pics of these parts?0

Dave the attached pictures should provide you with the information you need. The jack base and the jack handle go under the jack when it is pushed into the bracket.0

On my 54 the base for the jack is in a small burlap bag sitting behind the tire. Is the burlap bag standard or just a previous owners idea?0

Thanks to all. A close-up pic to really see how the jack, base and handle are arranged would be great. Lance, please email me a price for the bolt and plate to dcbabydrhet@gmail.com, drop het. If the price is right I may take you up on it!0

Yes the bag was original. I made the mistake of trying to wash mine. it practically dissolved!
