Neat, but shouldn't you have a larger carb than a single SU?

Well, if it's a Hudson 232 engine, it doesn't need that big a carb. Even the factory Studebaker Golden Hawks with 289 supercharged engines didn't have but a two barrel carb, forget the cfm's but wasn't big.

I like it. Looks like a nice clean setup. Maybe add a heat shield between exhaust and firewall to reduce heat inside car.
I remember my old 65 180 HP single barrel carb. turbo Corvair didn't start making boost and power until 3,000 RPM where it planted you into the seat. It also got twice the gas mileage my 4 carb 140 HP Corvair. It looks like he chose a small turbo which I'm sure helps power and boost at a lower RPM for quicker get up and go. A good choice since Hudsons are not high RPM engines compared to V8 engines. I always got better gas mileage with my cars using a supercharger on 35 Chevy and 64 El Camino over carb. powered when I drove normal. (No pedal to the metal) But exciting when pedal hit the metal.

This car was at the Gettysburg national meet in 2012. The owner was only there a short time, but I managed to have him talk about it for my national meet video. Very interesting.0

He was also at French Lick and Docs meet last month. I forget his name, but I'm sure someone knows him. He's got quite a few speed parts on the car. He is a racer, but I don't recall if he races this car.0

That's a 308, unless my eyes are playing tricks on me

What is the factory compression on a 308 Hudson engine?
Does it take well to turbocharging?
I was reading up on semi-supercharging, utilizing air from the flywheel to pressurize the intake manifold. Hall-Scott used this on a number of their pre-invader LM6 marine engines, seemed to offer some practical benefits without increasing weight, or adding parts which could eventually fail,Chris0 -
Dave Coleman, extremely talented guy- hornet block, 232 crank, pretty much everything else custom including 5 speed conversion. My all time favorite stepdown.

Thanks! I'd love to talk with him if he would care to. I'm going to try and find his contact info.
I think that his car would make a nice article in the WTN.0
