Just getting started with 47 CCS

We got our hands on a 47 CCS, we were told the car is complete, and we have picture history from around 93.  While the car is in fantastic shape, I found the spindles to be scored heavily.  I have the Mech Procedures, but cant find the tolerances for the spindles.  It would be great if someone could point me the right direction.  I consider myself a parts changer, not a mechanic.....therefore, I firmly believe that I have found a project that is entirely over my head..........but she is so pretty.

Also, the car was a driver when it was put in boxes...but the brakes are shot, and Id like to replace the rubbers.....

  Anyway, thanks in advance

I personally cannot answer your questions (except to say that brake rubber parts are readily available, some of this stuff is still listed at NAPA).  Do check the wheel cylinder bores; these are often corroded because moisture gets into the brake fluid and collects at the cylinders.  In that case, I believe that the wheel cylinders may still be available at NAPA.  However, here is a company that lists them.   I think you may be able to do better on price, elsewhere, but it's good to know that they have them "just in case".   https://www.kanter.com/productdetail.aspx?DeptNo=1100&MakeName=Hudson&MakeYear=1936&CategoryID=81&ProductCode=346&Router=Catalog

There are a number of suppliers (some of them in the Hudson club) who sell or even specialize in Hudson parts.  I maintain a page of repro parts suppliers with a list of these suppliers on the second or third page (you might want to bookmark it) at  http://www.detailedconcepts.net/Repro_Table.pdf

The rest of my listings are for specific specialized Hudson parts now being reproduced by various people, in small quantities.
