Glad to be onboard.

Joined hetclub after acquisiton of our Hudson Eight 1934 Convertible from former GB-hetclub-member; born 55&56, living in Austria with 1 year of US living experience we can communicate in English.
Our complete body off restoration is about to end soon?! It took longer and more funds than ever anticipated. Already acquired some knowledge along the way when changing to hydraulic brakes, now transmission / gearbox is hopefully the last challenge before testdriving. Handling this open forum is a challenge even being a professional it-user for 40+ years. Hopefully I got the introduction right.

There appears to be a lot of information here to go thru, and I will only be able to search on purpose and with a clearly defined goal.

Regards -

    Welcome aboard!

Very good to have you.  I'm sure you'll find a wealth of information here.

You may also want to visit the Hudson Essex Terraplane Club website, and consider joining that Club - Members come for the cars, and stick around because of the great folks there!

We hope you enjoy your time here at the Hudson Essex Terraplane 'Open Forum' -

    'Grüß Gott, Herr Obermeyer!

The 1934 Hudson Eight convertibles are beautiful cars.  I am privileged to have ridden in the rumbleseat of one!  I hope you will drive yours a lot, and not simply use it for display.  (Because you are changing to hydraulic brakes, it seems that you do plan to do some driving in it.)   Please feel free to bring as many questions as you have, to our forum.

You mentioned that you have joined the "hetclub"; I assume you mean the Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club.  You will find this club most useful in finding parts and information, and in contacting others who have cars similar to yours.

Welcome!  Your car is from a different generation, I only know about stepdowns, but I admire them all.  Look forward to hearing from ya.
