175ci 6 something someone could use?

One thing I do plan on doing is putting a different (but still superclassic) era v8 in the 1941 I am picking up.

The previous owner got this 175 running.

Is this mill something someone on here would probably use? If so, I'll offer it up, otherwise I'll just stick it on a pallet for a rainy day I guess. :)

I just know parts can be a bit tricky to acquire, and would rather that anything I don't use goes to good use by one of you.

For a lot of people the 175 is somewhat of engine that passes them by because , frankly, it's a little underpowered :)

For me I'd like a nice engine to go in my 1939 112 (and by nice I mean one that works) however there is one small problem in that I'm in the UK.

It is worth offering it up for sure; someone else here may want it but don't be surprised at the silence

Yeah, that's the problem with the 175.  They had a perfectly good 212 cid six, which was used from the beginning of the thirties to 1947, finally got 101 HP with dual throat carb (such as in my 1937).  A lot of the guys with the cars that originally ran the 175 (like the "112" Hudson of '38 and '39, and the "Traveler" of the early 40's) dropped 212's in them.  Nice of you to offer it though.  Someone out there might be doing an authentic restoration and might want one.
  • Location would help. I found out why half my messages are cut off. Can't select text on my phone
  • Good call tractor.

    I'm located in Aitkin, MN.
