1949 Super Six interior door handle

My door handles look terrible. This is the driver's door, the escutcheon on the others is also cracked and warped. Did they only use the plastic piece versions on the Super Six?
Are the Commodore versions all chrome and are they all interchangeable?
Thanks

Plastic knobs and escutchons were the norm for Supers and Pacemakers. Commodore/Hornet cranks and handles will interchange with Supers and Pacemakers and likely you will want the chrome escutchons as well. You can also go the route of using Wasp hardware. They had chrome knobs instead of the plastic knob but the same design as the Super /Pacemaker.   Escutcheon plates were a blue plastic.
  • Anybody have any Commodore handles for sale, or know where I can get them?

If you would like to keep it original, check with Rob Fayette at Stepdown Plastics:

Rob was casting all of those pieces, and might even have some in stock.
  • Still looking for Commodore handles.

    hdsn49,
    I sent you a message.
  • Still waiting for response
  • I learned of a guy called "the handleman"  from Hershey week. Rich Baumgarten thehandleman@comcast.net . I bought 2 vent handles for my 56 Super wasp.  You send him photos and he'll check his inventory.

How good are you seeking.  I have the take-offs from my restoration.  They are way better than the one ou show in photo.
