For Sale: Remy generator / distributor for Hudson (?)

I just saw this on Ebay.  Seller claims it's for a 1936 Hudson but I can't believe they still used generator / distributors in '36.  So if it's for a Hudson, it must be for an earlier one.  The model number is Remy-950 B- 265315.  Here is the auction link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1936-Hudson-Generator-Distributer-/321814537395?hash=item4aeda424b3&vxp=mtr

    Definitely  will not fit any Hudson made after 1916, and I doubt before that either.

    Interesting, Geoff!  So the Remy number doesn't work for even the earliest Hudsons?  Wonder why this fellow got the feeling it was for a Hudson, let alone a '36 Hudson!

    All side-valve super sixes had Delco equipment until 1924, then Bosch, then from 1927 onwards Auto-lite.
